The Pacific Coast Joint Venture has been involved in conservation planning at many different geographic levels since its creation in 1991.

Planning provides partners with a biological and geographic context to:

• develop and seek funds for conservation projects
• conduct strategic planning
• gauge the regional perspective of their local conservation actions

We are currently updating PCJV conservation plans based on updated geographic focal areas with population-based habitat objectives for focal species.

Previously completed plans and scheduled updates include:

• Coast Range Ecoregion - this new planning unit will update plans for Lower Columbia River, Northern Oregon Coast, Southern Oregon Coast, and Coastal Northern California, and will include the Washington Coast.
