Interior Secretary Salazar Releases "The State of the Birds: 2010 Report on Climate Change"
The report assesses the relative vulnerability of each United States bird species, based on five biological aspects of sensitivity to climate change, as well as the exposure of each species' habitat to climate change in the near future.
Cornell Lab of Ornithology invites participation in NestWatch
Citizen scientists submit their nest records to an online database where their observations are compiled in a continent-wide effort to understand and manage the impacts of environmental change on bird populations.
Conservation Registry Puts the Pieces Into Place
The Conservation Registry, an online database that records, tracks and maps conservation actions across the landscape. Katoomba Group’s Ecosystem Marketplace web site features the Conservation Registry in a full-page article by Alice Kenny. Check out why people are calling the Conservation Registry the "Wikipedia for the Environment".

The Wind Wildlife Research Meeting VIII will be held October 19-21, 2010, in Lakewood, CO. An expert review panel is needed to review abstracts in the following categories: Fatality Impacts to Birds and Bats, Cumulative and Landscape-Scale Impacts to Specific Species or Groups, Impacts to Wildlife Habitat and Behavior, Mitigation Techniques and Technology, Understanding of the Current Knowledge of Offshore Wind and Wildlife Issues.
